What you should know

Before starting a course with us, you will be tested for language level, given a needs analysis and have your learner profile identified so that we can select an English language course that suits you best.

• REGULAR COURSE (Sep-June) the classes are held 8x 60minutes a month; 2 x 60 minutes a week. Course duration: 2 x 3 months
• INTENSIVE COURSE (Sep -June) the classes are held 1x180 minutes a week.

We monitor your progress during the course through regular assessment and testing.

The number of students per group:

• Children and teenagers: 10 students maximum,
• Adults: Average of 8 students maximum,
• Closed groups from 2-4 students.

Registration is open all year round so you can join our courses whenever you want.

James Owen, the director of Owen Owen , is a highly qualified teacher of English language.

Educated in Great Britain, he has over 20 years of experience in teaching general and specialized English language courses, as well as preparation courses for exams. He has worked in schools in some of the most reputable world centres for English language learning - London, Oxford, and Bournemouth, as well as in his languages and services company in Belgrade. This experience and knowledge are applied to language courses organized by Owen Owen which means that you can develop your language skills to the maximum.

English language for children and teenagers

We work hard to make the process of learning English language for our younger learners fun and very practical. The simple fact is that they come to our classes because they really want to and because we work hard to motivate them to achieve more. Our students leave our classrooms with an active knowledge of English language which they can use everywhere.

Our students also have the opportunity to prepare for the internationally recognized Cambridge University ESOL exams administered by the British Council, receiving the renowned Cambridge University ESOL Certificates. For 5 successive years, Owen Owen earned the awards from Cambridge University and the British Council: Big Provider Award 2007, Big Provider Award 2008 and Big Provider Award 2009. The awards were presented in recognition of the significant number of our students taking Cambridge exams here in Serbia. 12 week courses for adults

These courses are very popular with adults because they enable learning at a speed that suits you, they increase your language skills and language knowledge and lead you from one level to another, relatively quickly, but at the same time enabling you to build a thorough knowledge of the language.

Preparation for international certificates

Are you planning to study or work abroad? Apply for a job? Get a promotion? Or do you just want to check your language skills? Gaining a certificate recognized in over 150* countries (* Cambridge ESOL Certificates) is crucial to developing your language skills, knowledge and experience.

Preparation for Cambridge BEC

Preparation for the Cambridge BEC exams along with a General or Business course, or as a separate course:

• BEC Preliminary international CEF level B1
• BEC Vantage international CEF level B2
• BEC Higher international CEF level C1

These programmes develop reading, writing, listening and speaking skills in everyday business contexts and cover the following: letters, reports, messages, taking notes, meetings and training seminars, asking and giving information and opinions, presenting arguments and giving instructions, telephoning, travel, discussions, presentations and negotiations.

Duration : up to 98 classes .

Once you have passed these exams you will receive a Business English Certificate from Cambridge University ESOL Exams, which validates and affirms your business English knowledge as long as you hold the certificate and which contains your name and the level that you have reached.

Business ( Professional) English Courses

We lead you through a series of everyday business English language skills which you need in order to be able to get your job done in English:

• Telephoning, emailing, business reports, meeting people, meetings and negotiations, company visits and making presentations. Through intensive practice and assimilation of words and structures, we help you to reach your goal – independent and active use of business English.

Emphasis on communicative tasks, which are an integral part of every level of our courses, means that you can leave our classroom and immediately apply at work everything that you have learned with us. Levels: elementary, lower intermediate, intermediate, upper intermediate and advanced.

• Duration: business I/II – 12 weeks – 24 classes (2 x 60 min per week)
